Sales & Marketing Recruiting
The people accountable for pipeline, pricing, positioning, and retention, across industries and go to market models.
OVERVIEW
Why this practice exists
Revenue hiring has the highest visible failure rate of any function we recruit for, and the reason is simple. Commercial candidates interview well by definition, because selling themselves is the job. We screen against the number and against the conditions that produced it, since a quota carried in a category leader is a different achievement from the same quota carried somewhere nobody has heard of.
What we screen for
Verified attainment across several years and several environments, with the context that makes it meaningful: deal size, sales cycle, and whether demand was created or captured. For leaders, whether they have actually built a motion and retained a team.
How we engage
Most commercial searches run on contingency, with a fee due only when a hire starts. Replacing a CRO or CMO without unsettling a customer base is a confidential search, and those we run on a retained basis.
